Darkness has fallen,
Midnight is near,
and the sounds of the night,
are all I can hear.
Shadows cast down,
upon the moonlit room.
Making me frightened,
and filling me with gloom.
So I climb out of bed
and hear a creak,
which makes me scared,
and my legs fall weak.
I look out the window
and appears a surprise,
as fear starts to spread
though my wide open eyes.
I see a beast sitting there,
thinking 'bout my fate.
And all I can do is stand here,
and wait, and wait.
I'm paralyzed all over;
'Cause the fear has sunken in.
And I know that this nightmare
is about to begin.
'Cause I'm afraid of the dark.
And when I see it all it does,
is make me sick.
And make my head buzz.
All I really need right now,
is some kind of light.
Before the creatures come out,
the creatures of the night.
