O Anna Niemus

Crickets

The sweet peep of the crickets was
stilled by the cruel frost
as the gentle voices of peace

Thank You God that You are now
removing the warmongers from
power.. that you are now and forever
foiling the attempts
of Cheney-Chertoff
democracy's shirts to take off
