Criminals Of Religion Poem by Cookie Iwuoha

Criminals Of Religion

With all energy
in every pint of blood buried in my being
with all my prayers honesty
wisdom from inspirations of every elevation of my spirit
with all unfound meaning of my existence
memories of my many births and deaths
yes with all hunger in my dreams
i scream! i scream!
i scream! ! ! yet i cant wake from this night mare
lost and forgotten still i seek myself
arrested by insanity seeking solace
some say i need help, but all i need is myself
lost my independence
seeking hidden truth of this earth
tagged another demon
for i challenge and charge against their ageless demons
man made doctrines
adopted in the worship of God
broken sacred commandments
life overtaken by misery and pain
where is my peace
love your child and he becomes your heart break
love a woman and she becomes your death
create your betrayal, as you choose a friend
pray in a mosque,
employ mockery and contempt
of churches, shrines and synagogues

i regret my wisdom
yet cant enjoy my foolishness
happiness i only find in my sadness
i lift up my voice
not in vain do i strain my chords
not for fame or money love
but to command a peacefull war
waging and raging against ignorance
on myself i heap the cross
imitating steps of the prophets of old
a licence very pious
yes i can die for love
yes i can die for freedom
die to save my nation
die to uphold a wisdom
but i will live for allah and God
and kill no one for politics or religion
allah is peace and jehova is charity
taste the agony and tears
lives you torch with hatred so satanic
you heretics, die to this blasphemy
bauchi, onitcha, Jos, kano,
allow one more death in the name of folly
close to life another door
rape another truth with your errors
blame the Gods again for your misconception
then and very then
my friends of the heavens
will bury you naked without a casket
you, your mothers, wives and children
owns the next shallow grave
criminals of religion
die to this sacrilege
