Crocodile Tears Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

Crocodile Tears

Rating: 5.0

There is Monty the croc
still lethargic today
winter's cold on his rock
not the season to play.

As he goes to his maker
amongst sadness and cheers,
this keen mover and shaker
leaves just crocodile tears.

Beautiful Herbert. It makes me think of all those animals.... I bet they are saddened by his absence too. Your poem brought me to tears. Very moving. Sincerely, mary

This reminded me so much of one of the episodes of Steve Irwins show, where the croc actually did croke and steve cried his eyes out, he was so upset to lose his friend Herbert! shedding a tear at the thought of his sweet nature and such great loss to this all too numbed world, we seem to live in. But loving your Crocodile tears poem all the same. Tai
