Cry For Help Poem by Marilyn White

Cry For Help

I came to you thinking
That you could help me
But here you have problems
Of your own the ones that
You can’t face when the light goes off
So I wasn’t all that truthful
To you because I have my own
Fears and doubt that I can’t face
I told you I would help you
But really I am the one that needs it
Because I don’t know how to move on
There I see that you are doing fine
I can’t ask why or how
It had to be the way that it is now
You are the only one I told
About my suicidal note the one
That I starting writing from the past
You never asked or told me to stop
You never even asked why
That is when I thought twice about it all
