Crying In Joyful Tears Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Crying In Joyful Tears

Rating: 5.0

The cloudy sky is dark
And the rain is falling;
People in the streets for
Shelter, they go running.

After the heavy downpour
There appears the rainbow;
Signaling a promise
Of brighter tomorrow.

There is a lonely man
In a quite deep sorrow;
A sign of hopelessness,
Frustration, pain, and woe.

He is almost drowning
In the river of tears;
His heart is badly hurt,
His mind is full of fears.

Then his eyes both close,
And his mind meditates;
Asking for God's mercy
Is what his soul dictates.

The sun suddenly shines,
And the doubt disappears;
Happy man as he is now
Crying in joyful tears.

The exquisite scenes of nature as well as the collage of human suffering, faith, prayer and the divine intervention to assuage the bruised feelings of an innocent soul have been created with utmost care and sophistication. Please accept my sincere thanks and thumbs up. After the heavy downpour Appears the rainbow; Signaling a promise Of a brighter tomorrow.
