Curtain Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Curtain

Curtain

The curtain is half-pulled
-window is a shameless betrayer
-exposes
-my upper and lower; undressed
-to sky and tree that grew very tall
-it reaches balcony; fifth floor
-I think of a giraffe!
-and I see strange animal
-spotty like tiger and cheetah
-with long lips, relative or friend
-of camels, camelids

And those teeth
-pearl necklace on chest or
-cleavage of a very young woman
-brilliant!

And I see the need for good hygiene
-germs sit on the pearl-teeth
-from hey and or leaves
-or maybe…

See camel rounding lips on a bush
-loco thorn
-and the teeth are scissors in desert

Clouds are massing to demonstrate
-grow dark and frown
-then thunder
-a storm:
-talk to me
-feel the whip on skin…
-feels painful when draws a painting…

Mesmerised I murmur:
-"What is this?
-Where am I?
-Must've gone crazy! "

Pull curtain and hide me
-from eyes…
