Cut From A Bogart Movie Poem by J. James Martinez

Cut From A Bogart Movie

Rating: 3.5

Midst my
Colorless castle
I sit and dream
Scenes
Cut from a Bogart movie
Although
You're full of color
Vibrant
Reverberating through these
Borrowed walls
Along with the fleshy ones
I call my own
The fleshy walls which act as
Your prison
Your home
Your kingdom

I crown faux queens
And
Faux jesters
I love you in my James Dean way
And
My Audrey Hepburn style
Can charm and stretch a smile
On your Grace Kelly face
