Daddy Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Daddy

I remember those days
When i loved to wait and watch the early Sun rays
Appear on our lawn
My Daddy smiled and said its in our nature to salute the early dawn.
those days daddy held my hand when we walked down the streets
often he described how time fleets.

Time rolled on
i have no time to watch the sun visit my lawn
Daddy stopped holding my hands
As he wanted to fly high
reach the sky
While his bones lay in sands.
