Daddy And Me Poem by Michelle Wooldridge

Daddy And Me

You were there the moment I was born
You were there everytime I was sick
You held me in your arms
You were there the first time I crawled
You were there with open arms for my first steps
You caught me when I fell
You heard my first words
you always let me sit on your foot while you walked around the house

Daddy you were always there
No matter what as I grew older I still asked for my daddy
You helped me understand my homewor when I didn't
It's always me and daddy
You saw me in love for the first time
You shieled me from heartache

One day you will be walking me down the aisle
To give me away to the one man I truly love
But you could never officially give me away
I'm your little girl
I have
And always be daddy's little girl
