Daddy's Girl Poem by Christina Byrd

Daddy's Girl

Held me when I cried
Didn't get mad when I lied
Laughed with me
Let me be free
Guided me along
Listened to all my songs
Made your presence known
but kept a quiet tone
You are my dad
You wipe the tears when I'm sad
You teach me how to catch
Eat the cookies from the last batch
I respect you
And to me too
The memories are a bunch
I love you so much
