Daddy's Little Girl Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Daddy's Little Girl

Sweet Rose was his own
Such devotion he'd shown
To the child who dwelt in his heart.
But sweet daughter Rose
With much radiance glowed, and
Her wedding day caused them to part.

Many sorrows were shed
As he lay in his bed
For his child had gone faraway...
Married her 'number one'
And they live in the sun
Near Australia's North Adelaide.

Yes, Rose was his child
He dreams of her smile...
Her romance brought pain to his day.
But they'll meet again soon
In the sunshine of June.
Destination? ? Encounter Bay!
