Daffodil Poem by Rich Harney

Daffodil

I ask a little Daffodil,
Does anybody see?
Six upon a trumpet,
a quaint ecology.

A scant attack of Narcissus
No thought - a butterfly
I'll sip a floral nectar
I'll give it to the sky!

Oh! Ancient rose of Sharon
duplicity is up,
One, perfumery exotic
Two, death in a cup.
