Daily Garden~ Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Daily Garden~

Rating: 5.0

Never one to move counter clockwise
Today, i permanently shut the door on my past
Leaving behind that cafe on the Seine
Saying good-bye to it, at long last;
Moving forward and in another direction
Having garnered so much in the last three years
I count my blessings and my sweet loves
Cherishing my smiles and throwing away the tears;
Situations of the most impossible plagued
They weighed ever heavily upon me
'Twas frightened beyond belief & in the darkness
But God gave me clearer, light filled eyes to see;
And oh the light that HE bestowed
Yes, HE flooded my world with HIS bright
Directing me in my every step
All to protect us from what was done out of our sight;
A 'Thousand' thank you's for the lessons learned
My dopamine and serotonin receptors fully know
That you all added a little of this and that
And percolated them into your most grand show! ;
And to you: Political activist, teacher and my foe
Your arrogance, snobbery and two faces just glow
Putting a large dent into a once tight knit family
The flowers that you planted, no longer grow;
