Daisytown Poem by Justin Gildow

Daisytown

In Daisytown
Much has changed here

It's been so long
And it's so hard for me to remember
Remembering this or that

In Daisytown
The fairies could very well call it
a home of their own
If they wished to

Houses and barns have sprung up
The fields may be gone
But I remember them
The watery creeks still remains
And the flowers have grown
With the help of the Pennsylvania rain

Here in Daisytown
It's great to be back
Even for a few minutes
Even as the memories come rushing back to me
Opening and closing my eyes

Many things remain
But most importantly
The memories for me remain
