Dancing With A Ghost Poem by Jean Dament

Dancing With A Ghost

Rating: 5.0

You walked into my life from across a dance hall
At first sight we felt the attraction's call
The rhythm seemed to take over & we wanted nothing more
While we resumed waltzing o're the floor
It wasn't long before we would flow as one
As our hearts were captured to continue on this fun
But in time we found our love couldn't survive
Leaving me with days when I barely felt alive
Then fate stepped in telling us we were too young to marry
Now this memory still does haunt & tarry
And I'm left with a ghost who dances with me
Everyday since we parted... from whom I'll never be free.

Very good poem. I've read it with pleasure. Dance is like all live. Best regards Dorota
