Dancing With My Grandmother Poem by Aldo Kraas

Dancing With My Grandmother

I used to be a real little gentleman
I danced with my grandmother
She was proud of me
I wanted to make her proud
Because it was one of her last wish
Before she died
Waltz was her specialty
She loved waltzes
Grandmother if you were here to day
I would still be dancing with you
That was a long time a go
That I danced with you
I can’t even remember how long it was
To tell you the truth I lost count
