Dandy Lion Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Dandy Lion

Rating: 4.0

Your profuse mane of lively yellow
Radiates with a dazzling brilliance
Fearlessly you flourish as you grow
Thriving with a robust resilience

Crouching silently in the blades of grass
Sunning in the rays of summer heat
Looking skyward as the days pass
Surviving the pounding of running feet

Time transforms your grand appearance
You fade into a delicate white globe…
Feathered fluff clings with adherence
Until small seeds ripen and you disrobe

Each new beginning takes flight on wings
Swept into a breeze of fluttering sounds
Scattered seeds sprout and new life springs
The next generation roars with sunlit crowns
