Dark Eyes Of The Cape Poem by Fergal Dunne

Dark Eyes Of The Cape

She twisted and she turned.
She was dark,
Mysterious and Beautiful.
Her hand entwined in mine.
Perfect skin.
So soft to touch.

She coated her lips in gloss.
I anticipated,
The passion in her kiss.
She smelt of Channel.
A princess,
In a kingdom of pain.

She lit her cigarette.
We smoked.
Sublime and enchanting.
Her forehead touch mine
Eskimo kisses.
So Sweet to taste.

I watched her sleep.
I dreamed aloud.
Together?
Her voice and mine.
The distant echoes,
Our worlds awake and turn.
