Dark Pain Poem by Amy Hang

I have been taken over
'Cause I've been careless.
My heart will never be pure, never.
And for that, I'm breathless.

My nerves are paralyzed.
Without a sudden move,
Will I ever be realized?
Is it going to be you?

Why can't I feel
The crying rain?
I'll only know the meaning of the word 'real',
The suffering pain.

Have you heard my sorrow?
My unbearable tears
Will not end tomorrow
'Cause I can't forget my fears.

You won't see a big smile
Especially not from me.
I'm not a child,
But I can be.

The feeling to cry
Is like fading into the dark.
I'm tired of hearing the lies.
My heart & soul is chewed up by sharks.

So please tell me why I'm still here?
