Dark Paradox Poem by DEEP DARK SOUL POET

Dark Paradox

Rating: 0.5

I'm restless, and the night is so dark
For solace, I've travelled to the sea
Feeling the gloom of my lost hopes embark
Like the roaring waves, deep inside me.

The waves strike against the shores of hopes
Gliding like a wild note on a distant harp
Everything looked like shadows and ghosts
And I saw my fears much clearer and sharp.

Now the sea has become calm and quite again
The darkness makes me fresh and alert all the same
My heart is heavy with the intense pain
Like an exhausted storm, the silence came.

The dead of the night hides the life of a day
The failures, the success; the despair, the hope
The direction and opportunities, the approach will stay
The shape of things to come, now I can scope.

The mind became clearer. I hadn't realised the girth
The first ray after dawn shone onto the earth
My dreams flew into the sky like birds quite free
I wondered how in the dark, I learnt to see.

Light we take for granted, effortless and free
We focus not as we have many things to be
Some great truths, that night, dawned on me
And what a paradox, that in the dark, I learnt to see.
