Dark Stranger Poem by Dean Meredith

Dark Stranger

Hello mister
You ragged old thing
All ruffled feathers
And black sharpness
Menacing looks
Garbled cries
Misunderstood
But fascinating
Continually taunted
By small minds
Shadow puppets
Against the sun
You terrify
And enthral
With your mystery
Appear from nowhere
Eye us through
And then …
You're gone
