Dark Versus Light Poem by Nicole Verrill

Darkness follows me,
every step of the way.
It's always stalking me;
every night and every day.
Whether it's in my mind,
or in the world.
It doesn't matter;
it's always so cold.
The light is amazing;
what it can do.
It can brighten my day,
and brighten yours too.
I want it to help,
to make our lives better.
We know it can change,
the types of weather.
So let it be sunny,
and brighten our day.
Let darkness not follow us,
every step of the way.
So let it be,
day not night.
For in this battle,
it's Dark versus Light.
