Darkest State Of Mind Poem by Muriel Ruth Emerson

Darkest State Of Mind

In my darkest state of mind
I can only hear your words
Riddled with despair and regret
Why did you go away?
In my darkest state of mind
Your face creeps into mind
I see you everywhere I go
Reminding me of what we once shared
Your memory reminds me
Of the way we use to be
In my darkest state of mind
I think of you walking out on me
Please come back to me
