Darkness Poem by to those who wonder what life is about

Darkness is where
I seem to be
Stuck in a deep and dark
whole where no one
can reach me
alone and lost from the outside world
trying to climb out from the dark
to see the light
only to be drug even deeper
not by the human race
but by my own mistakes
I learn from them
but only to make more
two feet out
then six feet under
never knowing if I can
get out, seeinf the light
but not able to reach it
Seeing it slip away
into the dark like
a dimming flashlight
in need if new batteries
the light is my only hope, only way to get
out of the dark whole
that is consuming
me inch by inch
struggling for help, for air
only to realize I'm the only one
that can help myself
So here I go changing
once more for the people around me
along with everyone else
