Darkness Poem by Bonnie B Long

Darkness

Sitting in the dark waiting for a call
Sitting in the dark your back against the wall
Waiting, wishing, hoping that call is gonna come
Waiting, wishing, hoping and feeling oh so dumb.

Feelings that you're feeling, in your heart so deep
For someone who won't return them or feels them not so deep.
Feelings that you're feeling. that you want to give away
For someone who won't return them or knows not what to say.

After a lifetime of searching for just the right man
You feel that you've found him if only you can
Find out what he's feeling in his heart so deep
Is his heart awake or is it still asleep.

Are you the one he's been searching for, or are you one of many
Wishing he'd tell you where you stand, this thoughts worth more than a penny
He is the one you've been searching for, the only one for you
Are you the same for him? There's nothing you can do.

Some day you'll know the answer, some day you'll know it true
Until that day will come around, there's nothing you can do.
Patience is a virtue and hard to have at that
Be patient until its the right time be patient as a cat
