Darkness And Light Poem by Terrance Tracy

Darkness And Light

Rating: 3.0

The artisan applied his skill to his task attributing his abilities to his craft as a gift from God.
Enjoying each blessing by assessing every good thing came from God, the artisan applied his trade according to what was in his heart every task he made.

There came a moment in time the light that guided him became obscured in pain and the void tempted him to declare how long will I remain.

Seconds can become as hours in God's domain, how much time will this river of pain flow the artisan wanted to know.

A message from his Comforter spoke to his heart; "I just wanted you to remember the darkness from which you came was mine to preordain."

The artisan was reminded to look to the rock that he was hewn and the quarry he was dug, born in the darkness void of light groping without sight he heard a voice declaring Let There Be Light.

The artisan knew the voice that he heard would never leave him nor forsake him, for his Lord held him in his hand however, this he would have to understand; the word of the Lord came to him from within his heart, "Satan asked for you that he may sift you as wheat." For though you are weak I am strong, I am your mighty fortress to which you belong.

For the artisan' s Lord prayed that his faith would not fail him remembering the promise made; I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit upon the throne of judgment; for your faith has made you strong.

The darkness lasted but a few seconds but it seemed like hours the artisan felt his pain, undaunted in spirit the artisan would remain in the light of Christ, a debt that he could not repay.
