Darkness Behind



My blinds are wide open
a light post a sentinel
cars park on one side
classy some doesn't leave
protecting street from sun
very expensive road cover

Manicured green pleasing
to my eyes and so my mind
quietness is here to stay
more flowers than bees could
more space to paint my dream
over those trees an open sky
