Darling It's Close
By: Taylor Donnelly

There was color in the little bit of light

Permit ink kept out of sight

Everything fads just give it time

Just give it time

I've been sitting on the same question all my life

'What is worth this'

What did i miss

Darling i love you

But there is still nothing i can do

That pain wont let up easily

Questions like cigarettes

They feel good and burn bright

But end up crushed and used up by the end of the night

There was a man who never knew her

There was a man who's feelings never did occur

And that's just fine by her

Because another woman's did

And there's a man who held a mans hand

The way i would never know such love

I grew envious and hopeful but gave them both a shove

The water will drip from the falls

The paper keeps peeling from the walls

But... darling i love you

Darling its me who loves you

I've been sitting on the same question all of my life

'What is worth this'

What possibly did i miss

I'll be resting right here

Waiting for you to appear

Everything is not what you thought it was

We are the best laid plans

The worst intentions

Secured by the most miserable of preventions

Darling i love you
