Dawn Symphony Poem by Leslie Ching

Dawn Symphony

Rating: 5.0

One lone swallow
Tries out his voice
Warbles a few high clear notes
He sings a soft, simple solo
Among the trees
A warming song in the cool and quiet
A dash of spice in a meal so plain
Awaken to his call
Acknowledge his presence-

L i s t e n

His compatriots join him
Voices weaving in and out of each other
Twining and twisting
Into a single-noted line of song
Let the magic
Flow around you
Into your heart
Fill your mind;
Nature conducts
This symphony of dawn
