Here I sit another day
with this pounding ache in my head yet another day.
I lay and I cry but what good does it do?
Nothing helps and it’s all I can do.
No one knows all the pain I been through.
Minute by minute, hour by hour,
day by day and year after year.
If only by a miracle you would just go away and stay.

You‘ve taken my life what more do you want?
I don‘t have anything left to give you.
Wasn’t my life enough?
You‘ve made me cry,
you‘ve made me scream,
I‘ve prayed and I‘ve prayed:
PLEASE HEAR ME GOD, PLEASE!
I’m on the edge and stumbling over,
please don’t let me fall for I know your love is stronger.
Minute by minute, hour by hour,
day by day and year after year.
If only by a miracle you would just go away and stay.

You’ve beat me up, You’ve tore me down,
my body aches, my bones feel broken.
Did you do that too? ? You probably did!
Your hateful and mean, I wish you were dead.
You play with my emotions,
Even those you can’t leave alone,
You’ve turned me into someone
That i don’t even know.
My smiles they lie.
Only My soul tells the truth.
It yells out in pain,
As the time ticks away.
Minute by minute, hour by hour,
day by day and year after year.
If only by a miracle you would just go away and stay.


So much time you have deprived me.
So many memories that didn’t get made,
Because for some reason I’m damned to this pain.
You have taken so much from me over time,
Some here, some there.
A Piece here, A piece there.
Is there any left?
No I doubt it,
Even some of my memory isn’t there.
Minute by minute, hour by hour,
day by day and year after year.
If only by a miracle you would just go away and stay.

I don’t know how much more I can take of you.
I’ve fought you a very long time now.
It used to be you were strong but I was stronger,
but now I am weak and you are still strong.
Stronger and stronger you grow,
by every breath of mine you take,
you drink it up and grow.
You broke me.
Till there’s nothing left to take,
for you took it all there is no mistake.
Still sitting here in pain
Caused by you.
Minute by minute, hour by hour,
day by day and year after year.
If only by a miracle you would just go away and stay.

One day I know that it is true,
there is a place that there will be no room for you.
No aches, no pains, no tears caused by you.
Oh what a great day to look forward to.
I try to wait patently until that day.
The day my spirit flies away.
Minute by minute, hour by hour,
day by day, year after year.
And then you will just go away.
