Day Divided And Now Done Poem by Susan Lacovara

Day Divided And Now Done

Rating: 5.0

Day divided, and now done,
The moon arose, replaced the sun
Put my tidied work to rest
Smiled at strangers, tried, at best...
To give, and gain, and gather great
Fill with color, today's clean slate...
Day divided, and now done..
Choose to walk, instead of run
And witness what was there, for free,
The spread of grandiosity...
Into compartments, I placed the day..
When to worry, when to play,
When to linger, when to lead
When to quiet or intercede,
When to smile, when to stare
With total disconcerting aire
When to pen my poems, recited...
Now it's done...my day divided.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

An image of gratification... even better put to rhyme.. it's a watercolor for the mind's eye! Thank you for the image of a day well spent!

What a fluent expression of thoughts! The note is superb, the last line truly absorbing. Thoroughly deserves a 10/10. You've nicely compartmentalized the day and the daily chores, and penned the actions beautifully.
