Day Dream Poem by Loraine Lotter

Day Dream

Rating: 3.8

My eyes closed,
Faced at the sun,
Arms spread open,
Nowhere to run.
My head is full of thoughts,
Voices in my ears,
A past that's frightening,
A future of tears.
Daydreaming in my head
I'm in another place,
Invisible and absent-minded,
Ahead of the chase.
I'm leaving in my heart,
But staying in my mind,
A smile and a frown,
I need to unwind.
Break free,
From slavery.
A daydream
That's me
