Day In The Life Poem by Ballerina With Fins

Day In The Life

Shell-shocked,
moths flurrying through
open mind and open soul
(reluctantly opened arms)
heart trodden beneath
hope, now dampened.
Dampened like sodden
cloth drowning in water,
softly, softly. Water
the tears that are
soon to come.

Very intriguing, somewhat mysterious poem. Very good image of a cloth absorbing water until it becomes heavy and 'drowns.' And the lead-in to the wateriness of tears is inspired. Good work.
