Day Start Poem by J.E. Deen

Day Start

Insects thump
against glassy window sills
Birds flutter
with wings of a windmill

Sunbeams stream
through the arms of willow trees
splashing around shadows
dancing in the breeze

Flowers stretch anxiously
with the arrival of the sun
Bees will hover
the waiting is over
for the day has now begun

Great poem with profound metaphors and fortified sentiments.
