Daydream Poem by Austin Moore

Daydream

Rating: 5.0

And I know that I’ve lost my only chance
My chance to ask you if I can have this dance
Its Gone! The possibilities are fading away
I know the words to use but I just can’t say
I would do anything to see you smile
And I hope that you’d ask me to stay a while
The agony disappears to thin air
In you’re doorway, we both just stare
She Couldn’t believe that I was actually there
Or believe that someone could actually care
My heart beat faster with each passing breath
This moment would flash past my eyes at my death
Our eyes communicate with a silent greeting
You smile and hug me, your grip so tight
I don’t want to mess up, I want to do it right
You break the hug with a slow soft kiss
My thoughts of regret are cast into abyss
This dream hidden deep in my mind
Still brings shivers up my spine
