Daydream Poem by Jayson C

Daydream

The room is filled in black
Yet I feel I can still see
My imagination does not lack
I can be what I want to be

From a hero to a criminal,
From a rescue to a heist.
Be star, so sensational,
Win every roll of the dice.

Funny how I can dream first
before I fall asleep.
I guess it's to quench my thirst
For the fantasies that I can't keep.

My mind is hyped when my body is calm
Words build up as my eyes fall down
Ideas erupt when the darkness come
Morning can't wait, I know they'll be gone
