Daydreams Poem by Rebecca Parker

Daydreams

Rating: 3.5

I wish that I could run free
In a field of sunflowers
And play with the butterflies
For hours upon hours

I would love to walk along the beach
Warm ocean breeze blowing my hair
Dipping my toes in the salty ocean water
Sunshine warming my skin so fair

I want to sit in the shade
Of an old oak tree
Reading a book of poems
Enjoying the feeling of being free

But this world spins far too fast
There are so many things to do
I can only sit here & daydream
And hope my daydreams will come true.
