Dead Cats

All the cats on me shed
Will soon be dead
Thanks to the rifle I got from me brother.

Not a stray dog was found
When these boys came to town
'But their so lovely' says me mother.

Five became ten
Then they doubled again
And one even got done for murder.

'I liked the first four
But there's too many more'
So me mother gave the order.

'We'll wait till the night
And blind them with light
Then well shoot them between the eyes.'

The first shot did ring
I cought the leader on the chin
While the next took eight to the skies.

The rest followed suit
Oh what a hoot
Then someone banged on me door.

It was the neighbour to complain
So she got the same
Then the rifle jammed forever more.

Now the cats are all gone
But the peace wasn't for long
As the dogs came back even stronger.

I gave me brother a ring
Sure don't worry about a thing
I've a new gun with bullets ten times longer.

All the dogs on me shed
Will soon be dead

Very Witty! - hope the cats and dogs didn't really get shot (but I suppose you couldn't very well kill your neighbour unless you're writing this from prison) .

I definately don't condone killing cats or dogs but this poem was great....of course that's assuming it's fictional! :) Great work. Sincerely, mary
