Dead World Poem by D.M. Barber

Dead World

Rating: 5.0

I see the world falling apart around me
Because the ozone layer, war and polital power surround me

I have no voice but here is how I feel
Its my my time go, my time to depart
No more worries no more shame
Coz im a coward and I quit this game

In a world that we are killing away
Hurting bit-by-bit, and day-by-day
Try to mention poverty and power
And the government turns it head or becomes real sour

The sugars are getting sweeter
And the roughness getting rougher
What do we do when the world is dead and there is no other?
How do we breathe,
When the fumes take over?
Is that the end?
Do we all keel over?

Should we do something now?
Or wait 10 years
Destroy our lives and live in fear.

Make the choice and raise your hand
Follow the greens, join their clan
It’s for the good of mankind,
Your sons and daughters.
Or sit right back and commit to the slaughters

Ok, so I only checked you out because your name was Barber. I notice you don't come to the reunions. Your muscular verse and message - oh, we Texans must weep, having done so much to destroy the world through business and politics.

Truely wise words of a concerned citizen of Earth. Thank you for speaking out against tyranny of recklessness...
