Deadly Kiss Poem by Wendy Bureau

Deadly Kiss

Rating: 3.9

Disappointed, hurt, disowned
With catastrophic consequence
A child in mid development
Alone, devoured by family severance

Blind eyed by society
Dreams dissolved in one’s own tears
Security, self love and worth
Replaced, with solitude and fears

Pubescent only in years
Experience bleeds from every pore
Hatred replaces innocence
Opening wide, depression's door

Reason riddled with holes
Purpose fades, a vapor mist
Tragedy, a statistic
Darkness falls, a deadly kiss
