Dean And Soph Poem by Michele Hegarty

Dean And Soph

A male Hairdresser,
a cliche, but he is, well, gay,
as he will freely say.
A teenage apprentice,
a statistic, but she is, actually, pregnant,
as all can clearly see.
Not a turkey baster surrogate,
(that's for soap land)
but by a boy who's 'gone to think'
Whatever, he'll still be a Dad.
A happy team,
a working theme,
that could last.
A born romantic he's sure
I'll soon meet a new man,
He won't marry his
Uplifted by my time in the chair,
I trust them completely with my hair.
I book in anticipation of the flow
of next installments.

I'm not totally happy with this, but I'm not sure how to make it more poetic. It's a true description but doesn't really flow.

I think the broken style works very well It makes the poem very unusual and immediate and coveys a sence of fractiousness I would personally keep it as it is jim
