Dear Poem by Bob Axell

Dear

What did I give you?
That you stowed away
You said you would return it
If I needed it one day

But then you died on me
And my item was forever lost
But I will now retrieve it
No matter the cost

I will wander through destruction and rubble
I will not be stopped by warnful war
I will find my beloved item
I guess you're wondering what it is for?

The item is simply a key
A key that I treasure and need
To open the shackles round my feet
And finaly - be free

This item is very important
So why give it away, true?
There was one more important thing,
And that - was you.
