I know I lost you ~~ I know you had to go ~~ It wasn’t your choice ~~ To leave the people you love the most ~~ I know your heart is bleeding for the people you love ~~ This river of love for the people you care about ~~ I’m going to fix your heart ~~ I’m going to stitch your heart shut ~~ With the friendship that we have ~~ Were the key and lock ~~ That has found each other ~~ You’re the one that has made my day ~~ Whether it is a good or bad ~~ We seem to make each other smile ~~ I know it is going to be hard to see you go ~~ The most I can do is wish you would stay ~~ Just a little while longer ~~ But I know you can’t ~~ As I stand here and watch you pack your bags ~~ All I can think about is the time we spent together ~~ As I see the car leave ~~ My heartbrokenness starts to show ~~ As tears roll down my face ~~ I see you in the car trying not to cry ~~ I want to tell you it will be alright ~~ But then I realize the car is slowly fading ~~ I can’t tell you anything ~~ All I say is goodbye ~~ My tears turn to rain ~~ My heart turns to sorrow ~~ As the memories replay in my head ~~ All I know is that my best friend will not be forgotten.
