Dear Dad Poem by Gemma Nolan

You are the only man in my life,
That will have my love ‘til the end,
You are the only one I think of;
To be forever my friend,
You are the one that’s always there;
You always understand,
You are forever there to offer;
A generous helping hand.

I know at times we may have fights,
But we will always see them through,
A daughter-father love like ours,
Means that I’d be lost without you,
If anything was to happen,
I’d take it in my strife,
But I know I wouldn’t be myself,
Without you in my life.

So I’ve decided to write this poem,
So I can let you know,
You are a massive part of me,
And my love will always show,
You’re truly one in a million,
It’s true; it has to be said,
If I didn’t have you in my life,
I might as well be dead!
