Dear Lord Poem by Barbara Blevins

Dear Lord

Dear Lord it really tares at my soul,
When I read about how you died for me,
I can sence the tourment you endured,
I am so sorry for sinning and hurting you.
As tears run down my cheek
I am imagining you hanging there
And not praying for yourself while in agony,
But instead you're praying for me.
As the tears fall uncontrobally,
I'm faced with how much pain I've caused
You don't deserve hurting more than you have
Please forgive me for all the sin.
I never realized I was doing those unto you,
Out of blindness and ignorance,
I sinned aganist God, whom I love so dearly
I beg you dear Lord forgive me.
Please don't forsake me and leave me alone,
I promise I will from this day on serve you,
I am weak, I need your guidance to be strong,
Please come into my heart dear Lord.
