Dear Mirror Poem by Andytics mufc

Dear Mirror

Myriad times
You whisper mellow melodies
To my ears
'Mary, your beauty is second to none'
'Mary-babe you are gorgeous'
'Girl you simply stunning in that dress'

But this afternoon
When I asked John out for a date
He said straight to my face
'Mary you ugly than a female chimpanzee'
'And I don wanna mix myself with an ugly Betty kinda girl'
'Can't sink that low'

So dear mirror
Is this one of your games?
Making a fool out of me?
Trying to merely summon a smile on my lips?
Or the problem is with John?
Perhaps he is too blind
To see that I am beautiful, gorgeous and stunning?
Dear mirror
Quench my curiosity
