Dear Phoenix Poem by Archaeus Six

Dear Phoenix

This wistful is cold within the sunless rain,
Unlike you dear Phoenix, who arose from pain.

Warm from the ashes, now sovereign with desire,
You set free your prey, and entered the fire.

Shall I follow the example and forgive this lust,
Put faith and power in the emptiness with trust?

There is such transcendence in your unshakable peace,
How I envy your victory, your mastery over caprice.

Will you see me, have mercy and offer a feather?
My sorrow, my loneliness that I might tether,
To bind with perfection in the eye of the storm,
Sit blissfully, blessed by tranquility, no fear to transform.

Dear phoenix, I sought redemption in naivety of dreams,
To rend the veil of my heaven, and drink from its streams.

Such hopelessness and innocence in a vain endeavor,
Can I leave this mortality, and live forever?

Lead me to the heart of acceptance and humility,
Set me ablaze with your gift, of scintillating nobility.
Wipe away such listless for a clarity of sight,
Wait for me dear Phoenix, to join you in flight.
