Dearest God Poem by Anashree Nash

Dearest God

Rating: 5.0

My dearest God;
Where would I be without you,
What would I be without you;
As I am all I am because of you.

You are my navigator;
My garmin, my very own gps,
You steer me in the path that is best for me;
You always keep me blessed.

You have blessed me in abundance,
Day after day;
Your gifts to me are limitless,
Such beauty, such array.

There are times when I have left your hand;
Though you've never let go of mine,
Those times you held on tightly;
Like a true father would until the end of time.

You cradle me when in fear;
In a storm you're closest to me,
When I am weak you are my strength;
Through the happiest or saddest moments you're always near.

I am everything because of you;
Without you I would not exist
Without you I would be lost,
Stay forever with me, I insist.

My dearest God;
Where would I be without you,
What would I be without you;
As I am all I am because of you.

From the day I've follwed you;
I've had the world at my feet,
Sometimes in the palm of my hands;
There's nothing I can't defeat.

Dearest God I thank you;
For the love and time you have for me;
Thank you my sweet god,
For always being with me.
