Dearest Sanity Poem by James Daniel Gabriel

Dearest Sanity

Rating: 2.8

My Dearest Sanity
I’ve got a little with you,
I’ve got a whole lot alone, some now.
You’ve got a lot of nerve
If you’re on my back riding it out

Yesterday there was nothing
Today there’s nothing else
As for tomorrow, I haven’t
Heard a thing
But I’m sure there’s
Nothing left

I want to say
This word of thanks
My Dearest Sani-Tease
For all I could be grateful for
I’ve begged and scabbed my knees

Tonight I’ll take you with me
Last night you vowed to leave
Tomorrow night is a bright new day
With no good sense or reprieve.
